Uptown Planners

The Historic Resources Committee provides recommendations and information to the Uptown Planners board on environmental impacts and the effects that new development has on the established community character.

Now combined with the Design Review Committee the issues surrounding Historic resources are covered in addition to design merits.  The combined meeting are on the 3rd Tuesday of the month when projects are in process.  Check with the chair for the design review committee meeting agenda.

The focus  ensures an analysis of historic resources before modifications to ensure that they are thorough and compatible with the established neighborhood bulk, scale and overall character as addressed within the Uptown Community Plan.

Public input to discover facts or data related to community history is imperative to the process and helps this committee provide recommendations to the Uptown Planners at the monthly Board meeting.
